172,000 Linear Feet of Walls Installed
Last year's 1st Quarter marked a milestone in the history of Environmental Wall Systems as the company surpassed 172,000 linear feet (more than 32 miles) of walls sold and installed since its inception. IrisWall systems are now installed in 44 states throughout the U.S. According to company President and CEO Matt Groves:
"This milestone continues to speak volumes about the outstanding quality of the products and service we provide for our stakeholders. We have built our business on providing exceptional value through all phases of a project and that is largely why 75% of our business is derived from repeat clients. In the wall business, you usually have only one chance to 'get it right' and we've been able consistently to step up to that challenge."

As part of Environmental Wall Systems' ongoing marketing campaign designed to highlight the green benefits of its products, the company turned to one of the leading environmental design publications, Environmental Design + Construction Magazine, www.edcmag.com
Although Environmental Wall Systems is one of the first movable wall systems to incorporate green components such as a carcinogen-free insulation material and an SCS Certified 95% recycled panel substrate, it remains one of the best kept secrets in the business. The company has built its brand primarily through word of mouth and hand-selected repeat accounts, a unique strategy in a market dominated by large office furniture companies with much greater market presence. Company managers think this is one of the factors making Environmental Wall Systems so unique. Chad Hively, Operations Manager at company headquarters near Cleveland, Ohio, said:
"We really pride ourselves on providing the best overall value, quality, and service. Too few people realize we have some of the fastest delivery times in the business, currently averaging four to five weeks from date of order. By featuring our products in the May 2008 issue of ED+C, we gave more companies the benefit of hearing about EWS and what we do well."
"Premier" Vision
Employees at Environmental Wall Systems participated in a 60-day process of solidifying its corporate Vision and Mission statements. Throughout this process, EWS' people were asked both to reflect on what made their company a great place to work and also to share ideas about their vision for the future. Over the course of weekly company-wide sessions, some common themes emerged into a single statement that captured what the company and its employees would achieve.
"Our employees are dedicated to the company's success," commented Karen Hasley, EWS' Manager of Human Resources. "They were excited about playing a key role in creating the company's vision because they realized that manufacturing a sustainable product is good for the company, good for the environment, and good for them individually."
Environmental Wall Systems' forward-thinking vision presents the company as: "The Premier Movable Wall Company Unmatched in Quality, Service, & Value"
